About the Carat Hostel… In the 11th district of Budapest on the Buda side, in the greenbelt surrounded by gardens, the privately owned Karat Hostel is to be found. The building was erected in the 1930’s in the last century, and remodeled in 2003. A familial and elegantly solid guest house, with its three apartments and guest rooms, is well designed for relaxation. 	About the district transportation… Strolling out from the streets surrounding the house, you arrive at the easily accessable and busy transport junction of Zsigmond Móricz and Dezső Kosztolányi Squares. They are well connected to the city center, Pest, the railway stations, thermal baths, with famous monuments and places, theatres, shopping and entertainment opportunities. These main transport vehicles will be found nearby: Buses: 7, 12, 86. Trams: 4, 6, 18, 19, 41, 47, 49, 61 The Hostel is reachable directly from the main railway stations: the south railway station with bus 18 and tram 61. the east railway station with bus 7. the west railway station with trams 4 and 6. The entrances to the international highways (ex: Vienna - Budapest) M1 and M7 are reachable in 10-12 minutes.
	About the surroundings… With a 15-minute walk or 10 to 15 minutes by public transport, the Gellért Hill , the Tabán, Buda castle and other national monuments and places of interest to tourists can be reached. But you need not travel to the Gellért, Rudas and Rácz thermal baths. At the end of the street you can find a park, the Bottomless Lake with a playground in the area and a restaurant overlooking the lake.Tennis courts, dog walks and St. Imre’s Church are also found here. Shopping doesn’t pose a problem because numerous stores can be found and, after all, there is the Buda Skala shopping centre and the Lágymányosi supermarket just two steps away from the Karat Hostel.
	House Services: The bed linens and towels are changed, maximum every 3 days (more often if one wishes it). Cleaning and waste removed daily. We provide baby beds if previously requested. The telephone and fax are included. Internet connection included in the house charge. (network terminal.) Secure luggage storage included. Parking around the perimeter of the Hostel is without charge. Your host is available between 9a.m.-12p.m. and 4-8 p.m. and also by previously agreed appointment on your day of arrival. We can assure personal conveyance between the Hostel and the railway stations or the airport if previously requested. The Hostel’s classification: Three-Star *** (listed in 45/VI.24 IKIM decree).
