 | Our homestay is located in 10 minutes walk or 1300 meters from the railway station. Handy for those who are coming on Trans Siberian train. Easy to get to the Lake Baikal. Cheap internet at the homestay. Good cafe nearby. A city park in 5 min walk. Here you can make cheap international calls as well. | | At the same place you can rent bicycles to go around town. English speaking guides are also here to help you. | | Different active tours for you to chose: rafting down wild rivers, kayaking on the lake, bicycling around Olkhon island, rock-climbing on the shore of the Lake, mountaineering, cross-country skiing or downhill........... |

| Usual central part of a town. No police taking your passport and asking money for them around. Crime happens but rarely (haven't heard of one for couple years). It is and expensive area to live in - most of people around are nice. | | Directions | If you arrive by train, you find yourself at the station. From the station if you follow the street that goes along the railway (Chelnokova st.) you'll see a perpendicular street that turns into a bridge across Angara or (to the left) it goes a little bit up hill - that is your way (Mayakovskgo st.). You'll pass two turnings to the left and on the third one (house 19) you turn. Among first three buildings you'll see along the road you need the farthest one - number 6 (entrence from the other side). There you need to find an appartment number 21, though most likely that you'll find a button to ring the appartment from the outside. | | Transportation | Nearest bus station is in 100 meters from the house. From there you can get anywhere you want in town. 5 minutes on a bus and you are on the other side of the bridge - in the historical center of Irkutsk. | | Airport | Nearest airport is in 15km. | | |

If you find a cheaper place to live - mail me and I'll take you out for lunch (i'll pay).
Haven't heard of any place to stay closer to the railway station either. Internet is cheaper than in any internet cafe in town. Travellers from all over the world staying in - you can make friends with nice people and go together on a tour. You can rent any sport equipment here.
